Man Utd 2 – 1 Arsenal
Robin Van Persie stole the headlines at Old Trafford as Man Utd produced a convincing display to beat his former club.
The home side dominated in a game that had everything from missed penalties to red cards, as Arsenal failed to make either an impact on the game or an early statement in the title race.
Man Utd have produced better performances but it was this type of performance that Utd fans will tend to look back on should the season end in a title.
Left-back Patrice Evra led by example, working tirelessly down the left flank in defence and attack, and scored the all-important winner with a header from a Wayne Rooney cross.
Evra also managed to rack up a 98% passing accuracy, misplacing just 1 of his 49 passes. Even more impressive were his accuracy levels for passes in the attacking half (93%) and passes in the attacking third (88%).
The Frenchman also created two chances for his teammates in a performance that shows he is not about to give up his starting berth to Alex Buttner.
