Lampard agrees new deal at Chelsea? Frank Lampard 2012-13 Stats

Lampard

Lampard Goal Stats 2012-13There are reports in the media that Frank Lampard is understood to have agreed a new one-year deal at Chelsea. Frank Lampard scored a double delight against Aston Villa this weekend and at the same time became Chelsea’s top scorer after surpassing Bobby Tambling’s record of 202 goals.

There’s been shock all around Stamford Bridge that Frank Lampard would be allowed to leave after putting in some stellar performances this season. Lampard has been in top form this season and whilst he has been rotated it seems that this has suited the Chelsea legend as he still seems fresh at the end of the season.

Frank’s goal frequency of a goal every 121 minutes is even better than his own record in Chelsea’s last title winning year (2009-10) when he scored 22 goals but averaged 146 minutes between them. 2009-10 year was also Frank’s highest year for goals but this season he’s not played as much but been on a goalscoring spree better than the majority of strikers in the league.

He’s been remarkably accurate and converted his chances better than anyone else this season (for players who have attempted over 50 shots). The stats from our Stats Centre below show this.

Lampard Chance Conversion Stats 2012-13

His chance conversion % is at 29% which is the highest for any player that has attempted over 50 shots at goal this season. At the same time his shooting accuracy is also impressive with only Theo Walcott having a higher on-target ratio than Lampard. His mins per goal (MPG) statistic is also much more frequent than his counterparts.

Lampard Clear-cut Chance Conversion Stats 2012-13

Frank Lampard has only had twelve clear-cut chances created for him but impressively he’s put away 67% of them.

As all the numbers indicate Frank Lampard would be deserving of another one year deal and Chelsea supporters must be hoping that the reports in the media are true. If they are not Frank Lampard will reportedly lead Chelsea out for their Europa League Final tonight as they try to achieve consecutive European trophy win.
