Luis Suarez to Stay? Could this tip proposed Willian transfer?

The future of Luis Suarez looks as though it is close to becoming confirmed that he will be playing for Liverpool for another season after reports from Sky Sports of him re-joining his team mates in training and apologising to for his recent actions. This would be great for the Merseyside club who seem to be interested in Brazil International Willian Borges Da Silva who would be a marvellous addition to the squad.

A combination of Coutinho, Sturridge and WillIan would be an incredible prospect playing behind Suarez. This would definitely be a strong attack that could see Liverpool really challenge for a top four place. If Liverpool want to have a chance of qualifying for the Champions league places next season then they must make sure that they keep Luis Suarez. If Suarez future is confirmed during the next fews days then it will give his team mates a huge lift for the beginning of the season even though he will be unable to make a impact during the first 6 games due to his ban. A good start to the campaign is crucial for Roger this season as he will not want to have chase his competition.

As Liverpool currently do not have a Champions League spot, it may be difficult for the club to attract such a top player who excelled playing for Shakhtar last autumn. This has recently been discussed within an article written by @AnfieldIndex who suggests that high profile players have already rebuffed Liverpool this year due to not having a champions league spot, so why would Willian be any different?

Well, Willian may be different because of course he views Liverpool as a massive club and playing in England as a brilliant opportunity. However, he also may believe that looking towards the future and that Liverpool are actually building a strong squad that could be challenging for top four. It is also obvious that the club are finding it difficult to attract the type of players that will take them on to the next level because they aren’t in the Champion’s League spaces. Willian at the age of 25 may feel that he is still young enough to wait a year for the Champion’s League believing in Rodger’s project. For me, if Liverpool were to confirm to Willian that Luis Suarez will stay at the club then the club would be in a better position to sign him. The reason being that Liverpool will be a lot closer to challenging for the top 4 with Suarez than trying to rebuild once again without him.

Looking at Willian’s stats, some may well question paying towards £30 million on a player who has only made two appearances for Brazil. However, for those that have had the opportunity to watch Willian will realise that he is a quality player. One who should have definitely given more opportunities to play for his Country. His Champions League displays against Chelsea were frightening; his pace combined with an intelligent mind is frightening. This is a player that Liverpool Football Club should definitely be trying to sign, and if Liverpool are able to keep Suarez which looks likely after the reports then they will be in a even better position to sign Willian.
