Arsenal continued their excellent form as they defeated Cardiff City 3-0 at the Cardiff City Stadium. It was Cardiff old boy Aaron Ramsey that stole the show with two goals and created three chances for his side. In a lovely moment Ramsey showed respect for his former side by refusing to celebrate either of his goals and the Cardiff faithful reciprocated with applause for their former hero.
Mesut Ozil was the other stand out performer creating four chances for his side with two of these being goal assists. Ozil now sits at the top of the goal assists table in the Premier League (as shown below).
From the Top 5 goal assisters Ozil has also the most frequent chance creation rate as he creates a chance every 30 minutes. Four of his assists have come from open play whilst two of them via set plays. He’s been impressive to say the least and at a ground where Arsenal’s title rivals, Manchester City and Manchester United, have both dropped points Ozil’s creativity ensured that Arsenal secured an emphatic win 3-0 away win.
