Tottenham Hotspur News: Glenn wants to restore faith at the Lane

Tottenham Hotspur are all over the news once again and it it down to Daniel Levy’s decision to terminate the employment of Andre Villas-Boas on Monday afternoon.

There will be no shortage of applicants for the role of Head Coach at White Hart Lane. Names such as Fabio Capello, Frank De Boer, Michael Laudrup and Roberto Di Matteo have already made their way to the top of most bookmakers lists.

However, there is one man who has already thrown his hat firmly into the ring and that man is former England and Spurs manager Glenn Hoddle.

Hoddle has been out of front line management since an ill fated spell as Wolverhampton Wanderers manager ended in 2006.

However since 2008 he has been running The Glenn Hoddle Academy in Spain, the academy was set up in memory of Glenn’s brother Carl and with the aim of getting young Premier League and Championship players back into football following their release from their clubs.

Hoddle however has voiced his interest in getting back into the Spurs managerial hot seat and has gotten support from the likes of Gary Linekar, who tweeted that Hoddle has “a brilliant football mind”

Hoddle is currently third favourite for the Spurs job at 10/1 with bookmakers Ladbrokes, Coral and Betfred.

Current favourite is Fabio Capello at 8/11 with Ladbrokes.
