Moyes ready to move for Sandro

Manchester United manager David Moyes is ready to admit defeat in his chase for Everton Left Back Leighton Baines and move for Porto’s Alex Sandro according to the Metro.

Moyes had been left disappointed in the Summer transfer window as his pursuit of Baines ended in failure. With Everton continuing to impress in the league and perhaps eyeing a place in the Champions League themselves it is looking more and more likely that Everton manager Roberto Martinez will be strengthening his squad come January, not weakening it by selling Baines to a rival.

This has prompted Moyes to look at Porto left back Alex Sandro as he looks to replace current left back Patrice Evra. Although Evra 32,  has appeared in all of United’s league games this season, Moyes is known to be keen on replacing the Frenchman with a younger player. There have also been rumours of Evra making a move back to Monaco come the Summer.

Alex Sandro is a Brazilian International with 11 caps to his name and joined Porto for a fee of £8million pounds.Sandro, 22 has been linked with a move to Merseyside rivals Liverpool in recent weeks and Moyes will be keen to ensure that any deal is done quickly after a frustrating time trying to complete deals during the summer.
