Arsenal & Liverpool both eye Spanish flyer

Barclays Premier League title challengers Arsenal and Liverpool are both eyeing a Summer move for Barcelona and Spain winger Pedro. Spanish flyer Pedro 26,  has found his first team opportunities limited so far this season and he has also said he may re-evaluate his options as early as January.

Pedro was quoted as saying “I am happy with Barcelona, but things have to be evaluated every season,”

“My goal is to try and stay at this club where I feel very valued and loved.

“When you play less you do not feel less important, but it is true that you notice playing fewer minutes and it is different”

Although Pedro has found his chances limited he has still managed an impressive 10 goals so far this season and got a 9 minute hat trick in Barcelona’s most recent victory, a 5-2 win against Getafe.

One sticking point for both English clubs could be Pedro’s £126million pound buy-out clause in his current deal, a deal that runs until 2016.

Neither Liverpool or Arsenal would be in the position to pay such a large fee but if Pedro were to ask to leave then there is the possibility Barcelona would ask for a reduced fee.
