Moyes eyes Marchisio

Manchester United manager David Moyes has reacted to his teams poor run of form by eyeing up a move for Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisiso.

Italian international Marchisio is currently out of favour at the Italian giants with boss Antonio Conte preferring a pairing of Arturo Vidal and former United player Paul Pogba in the centre of their midfield.

Juventus may feel the time is right to cash in on the 27 year old as they have failed to qualify for the knockout stages of the UEFA Champion League and have a financial short fall of close to £17million pounds due to that.

Moyes does face competition for the player however with both Arsenal and Chelsea being linked with a move for Marchisio.

However, it may not just be competition Moyes has to deal with, he may have to convince the player to move also.

Speaking on JTV ( Juventus’ own TV Channel) Marchisio stated “I want to continue winning with this jersey, I have no intention to change.

“But every year, especially in summer, there have been rumours that involved me.

“In addition to this one, I have another two years on my deal with Juventus.

“I hope to play as long as possible with this jersey, it’s not my intention to change.”

Manchester United are in real need of some new talent at the club, however January is always a difficult time to sign the top class players Moyes will want. However, in my view failure to bring in any new players will see United fail to make the Top 4 positions in the Barclays Premier League this season.
