Cardiff on the other hand would do anything for a clean sheet having shipped 4 goals to Hull last time around. Tottenham’s home form has been patchy with only 6 home victories coming so far this in the Premier League this season. They have also conceded 5 goals twice at White Hart Lane.

Cardiff City however should not offer any real threat to the Tottenham goal, the team has only scored 19 goals thisseason so far and have only managed 1 away win also.

Their current form is also very worrying and they only have 1 win in their last 5 league games.

Interesting Facts:

Cardiff manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scored seven Barclays Premier League goals against Spurs, his joint-highest tally against any opponent in the competition.

Cardiff have failed to score in five of their last six meetings with Tottenham in all competitions.

Emmanuel Adebayor has scored just once at White Hart Lane in the Premier League this season, with seven (88%) of his eight PL goals this term coming away from home.

Team News:

Tottenham Hotspurs have injury concerns over Danny Rose and Kyle Walker however both could return. However, long term injury victims Erik Lamela, Etienne Capoue, Vlad Chirches and Gylfi Sigurdsson are still out.

Cardiff City are hoping to have Jordan Mutch available for this game but will still be without club captain Mark Hudson and Gary Medel due to long term injuries.

Key Men

Tottenham Hotspur

Screen Shot 2014-02-28 at 08.05.14Emmanuel Adebayor has been the key change in Tottenham’s season so far. He bagged another 2 goals in the Europa League tie on Thursday night and has 12 league goals this season.

His form since coming back into the team under Tim Sherwood has been exceptional. He is scoring a league goal every 125 minutes and hits the target every 68% of the time.

Cardiff City

Steven Caulker has been the one shining light so far for Cardiff City. The former Spurs man has had an exceptional season. He has blocked more opposition shots than any other player in the Premier League this season (38).

In a team that has conceded 48 league goals this season Caulker has made zero defensive errors also.

That form has seen him rewarded with a recall to the England Squad for the upcoming friendly against Denmark.

Tottenham will want to bounce back from a poor performance and result last time out in the Barclays Premier League where they lost 1-0 to Norwich. If they are to catch Liverpool in 4th place then they desperately need the 3 points.

Cardiff City however are just as desperate for the points but for another reason. They are in danger of begin cut adrift at the bottom of the league. The change in management has not had the desired affect and as of now Cardiff are most people’s favourites for relegation.

Football often throws up funny results but I cannot see one here. I can only see a Spurs win by 3 goals to Nil.
