Jose Unhappy with Hazard

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is unhappy with star playmaker Eden Hazard, and has questioned the midfielder’s work ethic. Following the London side’s defeat to Atletico Madrid, Chelsea now only have the Premier League title to play for but are considered outside favourites.

Mourinho responded to questions about the comments the Belgian had against his manager following the midweek loss.

“I listened to the interview,” said Mourinho. “There was nothing critical in what he said. When the comments come from a player like Eden it’s normal because he’s not the kind of player to sacrifice himself for the team.

“Normally you get these kind of comments from players like him, from players that can’t resolve a problem like we had in the first goal.

“Eden is the kind of player that is not so mentally ready to look back to his left-back and to leave his life for him.

“If you see the first goal of Atletico you completely understand where the mistake was and why we conceded that goal.”

Hazard was named Young Player of the Year last Sunday, and has saved Chelsea from defeats throughout the season. Howeevr, his unrest with the team’s style of football may result in the player searching for pastures anew, with French mammoths PSG sniffing around the former Lille man.

Mourinho’s tenure at Real Madrid ended having fallen out with a number of high profile players, but will hope another incident does not develop back at Stamford Bridge.
