If you are looking for goals this weekend, Old Trafford is the place to be, as history generally points to a feast of scoring in the match between Manchester United and Tottenham.

Three or more goals have been chalked up in four of their last six meetings, with the highlight being Spurs’ 3-2 victory at Old Trafford in September 2012.

Indeed, both the London club’s visits to the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ in that period have resulted in matches involving three goals or more, as well as three points.

Even the clubs’ recent form points to a goal spree on Sunday, with four of United’s last six matches and eight of Spurs’ last 11 producing three or more goals.

United will be eager to bounce back from their 2-1 FA Cup quarter-final loss to Arsenal at Old Trafford on Monday night, which will leave them trophy-less for a second consecutive season.

After their massive summer spending spree they cannot afford to again fail to qualify for the Champions League. At present they are just two points ahead of fifth-placed Liverpool.

Against the Gunners, United produced one of their better attacking displays under Louis van Gaal as they got the ball forward more quickly and used wingers Angel Di Maria and Ashley Young more productively, with Di Maria setting up Wayne Rooney’s goal with a perfect cross.

However, at the other end, their defence was a shambles, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain beating four players before creating the opening from which Nacho Monreal scored Arsenal’s first goal and Antonio Valencia gifting Danny Welbeck the winner with an appalling backpass.

A repeat on Sunday and you can guarantee Harry Kane will pounce and give England manager Roy Hodgson another reminder of his talents.

The 21-year-old is in outstanding form at the moment, his double in the 2-1 triumph at QPR last weekend lifting his tally for the season to 26 in all games.

Enhanced price therefore maximum stake of £25 per user.
