Louis Van Gaal Looks To Sign Fantastic Four

Manchester United are willing to splurge 150 million euros on strengthening the team’s core by adding the likes of Bastien Schweinsteiger, Jasper Cillessen, Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema. Louis Van Gaal’s determination to win the title this upcoming season is quite evident as he is ready to shell out millions to procure players as mentioned. Apparently, Van Gaal has maintained that he wants these four players in his team at all costs.

Cillessen would be looking to replace David de Gea who is rumored to move to Real Madrid. If reports are to be believed, United believe are trying to land the Ajax man for around £20m.Ramos had earlier expressed desire to join Manchester United and could join for £45m while Schweinsteiger is available for £10m. Karim Benzema, who had earlier been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool, could move for up to £50m.

One player edging closer to exiting United is Nani, with a move to Fenerbahce likely to be completed this week. The Portugal winger did have brilliant spells but his injuries and lack of consistency has proved to cause trouble for the team and for the player himself. Nani scored 25 goals in 147 league appearances but he fell down the pecking order last season. His agent Luca Bascherini has said talks are going well with the Turkish Fenerbahce. Bascherini said: “We held talks with Terraneo [Fenerbahçe Sporting Director] regarding Nani he had lengthy negotiations. Terraneo is a man who knows what he wants and how to get it.”

Also, Monaco right-back Fabinho is looking to join United – according to Get Football News France. The highly-rated Brazilian full-back was one of Monaco’s star players last season and has caught the eye of Van Gaal and rightfully so. Southampton’s Nathaniel Clyne had been one of the Van Gaal’s primary targets, but now his attention has turned towards Fabinho. The 21-year-old helped Monaco finish third in Ligue 1 and have played a major part in pushing them in the Champions League as they reached the last eight.

Phil Jones looks set to sign a new deal at United. Jones’ future looked a little hazy with United was linked with a number of central defenders and fullbacks. However, the England international remains part of Van Gaal’s squad.

If all goes well and Van Gaal manages to pull off a deal with the Fantastic Four, it would be a next-level value addition to the team. The transfer window opens in less than a week and only time will tell how true these rumours turn out to be.
