Can West Ham Break Into The Top Four Next Season?

Hammers fans are walking around with a grin on their faces this summer as their club has spent big so far in the transfer window. The expectations for next campaign are getting higher due to this so it will be interesting to see how it plays out. They are not in most pundits football tips to win the EPL but they could well be a shock package if the new signings can gel together straight away.

Their recent signing of Javier Hernandez should help the team score more goals this season and if Andy Carroll manages finally play more than a handful of matches in a campaign, the two up front will cause any defense real problems. The Hammers have been very clever this time around with their transfer dealing as even though they have brought in players from overseas, they all have Premier League experience. This should enable them to bed into the team easier and cope with the EPL demands.

Hernandez will want to prove that he has what it takes to be a top striker in the world after his first stint at Manchester United did not go fully to plan. A lot of the time he was a substitute but he was one of the best as he often scored vital goals to get the three points. When he played for the Red Devils the forward from Mexico managed 59 goals in 156 matches. If he can get the same types of returns or improve on them, he will certainly help West Ham fight for a top four finish.

Another player they have brought in from abroad that has tons of Premier League experience is Joe Hart. The England goalkeeper will be determined to show former club Man City what they are missing out on. If he can have a great season and cut out the errors he should help the team secure vital points.

In defense, they have signed Pablo Zabaleta who again has lots of experience and will be a great addition to the team. With the added experience at the back, it should help them let in fewer goals than they did the campaign before.

In midfield, they have signed Marko Arnautovic who was quality at Stoke last season. If he can bring the same type of form with him he will flourish.

What improves their chances this season compared to last is not just the new players they have signed. One of the major problems was adapting to their new home and with a full campaign under their belts, things should improve at home this time around. Spurs may have a similar problem playing their matches at Wembley which could give the Hammers a chance to overtake their London rivals.

If you are looking for a football tip on an outsider to win the EPL, West Ham would be my personal choice. Other footy tipsters may not agree but I think they have signed the right type of players to give themselves the best possible chance of reaching the top four. There is still lots of time left in the transfer window so they may even sign more before the deadline closes. One thing is for certain that the 2017/18 season is going to be the most competitive in its history.
