Leicester vs Arsenal Prediction: Premier League Saturday Match Preview

Leicester return from their travels on Saturday night, coming back with six points, 11 goals for and no goals against in two games on the road. Those points have moved them up into 3rd going into the games this weekend, with the chance to further enhance their position in the top four as they face Arsenal on Saturday who are currently in 5th, on the outside looking in.

CasinoShark offer their thoughts on this clash at the top of the Premier League.

Leicester come here on the back of a comfortable success, winning 2-0 away at Crystal Palace last week and they have now won five of their last six games.

Arsenal disappointed their fans once again, showing tiny glimpses of promise but failing to put it together enough to get a win on the board. They drew 1-1 at home to Wolves, their third draw in their last six games and it is now five weeks since they won a Premier League game.

Team News

Red hot Jamie Vardy will surely lead the Leicester line again this weekend. He comes here on the back of seven goals from his last five games, and if Leicester want to continue their impressive run, he will need to keep his current goalscoring record up.

Elsewhere, Leicester have no issues with injuries other than long-term absentee Matty James.

For Unai Emery, it is a case of tinkering to find something that works. This could include further chances for Mesut Ozil, who started in the 1-1 draw with Wolves last week.

Granit Xhaka is likely to remain away from proceedings after his public fallout with fans two weeks ago. Hector Bellerin is creeping his way back to full fitness and could be in line for a start if Emery wants to change his back line, a start that would be his first in the Premier League since January.

Prediction

Leicester are really laying down their case to not only break into the top six this season, but to break into the top four and get back into the Champions League. They come here on the back of five wins from their last six games and look a potent force right now.

The same cannot be said for Arsenal, who are struggling for any kind of consistency, look to be lacking in leadership and are currently well off the pace as far as the top four goes.

This is a game Leicester will be up for, and one they can win. They are at the top of their game right now, full of goals and they can take advantage of a poor Arsenal team by picking up three points from this one on Saturday.
