Manchester City came back from 1-0 down in a tense game at the Etihad Stadium. Chelsea, rather fortunately, took the lead as Gary Cahill’s shot took a deflection and wrong footed Joe Hart. Manchester City were then awarded a penalty as Essien was ajudged to have handballed in the area. Sergio Aguero dispatched the penalty which set up an exciting finish to the game.

Manchester City continued the incredible statistic above as Carlos Tevez came off of the bench to play a peach of a pass to play through Samir Nasri who finished superbly to get Manchester City three vital points in the title run in.

Carlos Tevez and Yaya Toure topped the passing charts yesterday as both were 95% accurate with their passes. Yaya also managed the most passes with 92 however only managed 27% forward. You can see that it was actually Gareth Barry that made a higher percentage of passes forward in yesterday’s game as he achieved 45% of them forwards whilst also managing an 88% completion.
David Silva was accurate with 40% of his crosses whilst match winner Samir Nasri didn’t find a team mate with any of his 12 crosses!
For Chelsea John Obi Mikel was accurate with 98% of his passes with 37% of them going forward. Juan Mata couldn’t find any team mates with his 6 crosses as Chelsea found themselves on the back foot for the majority of the game.
