Is Marco the Rolls-Reus that Moyes desires?

Manchester United manager David Moyes has his eyes set firmly on Borussia Dortmund attacker Marco Reus.

German international Reus has been scouted extensively by United scouts who have been told to find “world class players for every position”.

If United are to be successful with a bid for Reus they will need to smash their transfer record and could end up paying in excess of £40million pounds for the 24 year old.

United do have money to spend after having a frustrating period during the Summer window. Many of their targets decided against moving to Old Trafford and clubs refused to allow their players to move to United.

They were outbid by Real Madrid for Gareth Bale and although January is a notoriously difficult time to buy players, Moyes is keen to stamp his own authority at the club and start brining in his own players.

Moyes has also earmarked defence as an area for improvement and is looking at a list of replacements for Patrice Evra and Rio Ferdinand.

Moyes will hope that the injection of fresh blood can galvanise his reign at Old Trafford after an in-different start over the first months of his tenure.
