Vidic will leave Manchester United

Manchester United captain and central defender Nemanja Vidic has announced that he will leave the club once his current deal expires at the end of this season.

The 32yr old Serbian has admitted that both him and the club have decided to end their 7 year association.

“This is something we all mutually agreed together,” said Moyes.

“I think it was the right decision for club and player. He has been a brilliant servant for United.”

And Moyes confirmed Vidic would remain his captain for the rest of the campaign.

“He has been a great player for us and we will continue using him,” said the Scot

The defender who has won 5 Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League back in 2008 has also confirmed that he will be leaving England “I’m not considering staying in England as the only club I ever wanted to play for here is Manchester United.

“I never could have imagined winning 15 trophies. However, I have decided I will move on at the end of this season. I want to challenge myself again.”

Vidic has been an incredible servant for the club and has been 1 of the very best central defenders in the Premier League era, he will be very difficult to replace.
