Norwich given no hope against Manchester City

It’s not very often a Premier League side are given odds of 15/2 with Betfair when playing at home, but Norwich and Manchester City’s contrasting current fortunes have seen the Canaries all but written off of coming away from this weekend’s clash at Carrow Road with anything.

Norwich no hope Vs City

With Norwich currently the Premier League’s second lowest scorers with just 19 goals, Manchester City’s huge haul of almost 70 goals so far this season means they are expected to be comfortable winners by the majority of Betfair fans this weekend, with a gap of more than three goals a very realistic result.

While many expect goals at Carrow Road this weekend, not many Betfair visitors are tipping Norwich to be responsible for many of them. There have been 37 goals scored in the last six Premier League games between Norwich and Man City, with Edin Dzeko scoring three goals in four Premier League games against Norwich.

Chris Hughton’s team have switched between scoring one goal or not scoring at all in their last nine Premier League games, with four strikers in their squad that has only manage to muster six goals between them, making Norwich a club Betfair punters don’t usually rush to back when it comes to scoring.

With just two points separating the club from the relegation zone, Hughton will be hoping results this weekend don’t go against Norwich and result in the Canaries slipping into the bottom three.

Coming off the back of a disappointing 1-0 defeat to title rivals Chelsea, City will head to Norwich full of confidence with the knowledge they haven’t lost successive Premier League games since October 2010. City have come away with the three points on their last three Premier League trips to Carrow Road, scoring 13 goals and conceding six times.
