Moyes is under fire from Sheedy

Manchester United manager David Moyes has found himself under fire from a former colleague at Everton.

Former Everton player Kevin Sheedy, who now coaches their Under 18’s has come out and heavily criticised Moyes and the former tactics Moyes employed at Everton.

Following United’s 3-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday, Sheedy tweeted “All of you out there, Moyes was never interested in our youth team or players.”

Sheedy also criticised Moyes’s tactics, adding: “Punt the ball up to [Marouane] Fellaini – great viewing.”

Moyes, who spent 11 years at Everton now finds his former team 3 points ahead of his current one and Sheedy praised Martinez, saying “We now have a manager who wants to win games.”

Everton later requested Sheedy delete the tweets but it is clear that Moyes is no longer immune to criticism.

The defeat to Liverpool all but ended United’s hopes of finishing in the top 4 this season and their best hope of qualifying for next seasons UEFA Champions League is win this seasons.

However, they are currently 2 goals down to Olympiakos and the chances of them winning by 3 clear goals on Wednesday evening are slim.
