Arsenal v Leicester City Preview | Team News, Stats & Key Men

Arsenal are on a roll, with four consecutive wins in all competitions. Despite that, they’re pretty much out of the Champions League race. They need to win out to stand a chance, so getting three points is necessary.

Leicester City have been hemorrhaging points since the restart. They stopped the bleeding against Crystal Palace, but they cannot afford to go back to their losing ways, if they are to hold onto their Champions League spot.

Team News

Calum Chambers, Bernd Leno, Pablo Mari and Gabriel Martinelli will all miss out through injury, while Mesut Ozil will undergo a late fitness test, according to PremierInjuries.com.

The Foxes will be without Ricardo Pereira and Daniel Amartey, with James Maddison, Ben Chilwell and Ayoze Perez set to undergo late fitness tests, according to PremierInjuries.com.

Key Players

Arsenal: Bukayo Saka

Saka opened his Premier League goalscoring account on Saturday with a wonderful half-volley. Add that to the four assists he’s compiled and it has been a very productive season for the 18-year-old, especially considering he’s spent much of the season at left-back. Saka is a serious talent and showed on Saturday how effective he can be.

Leicester City: Jamie Vardy

Vardy broke his scoreless streak with a brace, taking him to 101 career Premier League goals. Vardy keeps aging, but his performances have remain stellar. He’ll likely be the deciding factor when it comes to Leicester’s Champions League push.

Prediction

Leicester has been in bad form, but they’re still a better team than Arsenal. It may be a tough match, but the Foxes should have enough to get through it.

Prediction: 2-1 Leicester City
