Arsenal Given Fresh Opportunity to Sign Vlahovic in Cut-Price Deal
Arsenal’s search for a top-class striker could take a significant turn this summer, with Juventus reportedly willing to offload Dusan Vlahovic for a reduced fee of €40m (£33m, $41.75m). The Serbian forward, previously valued at around €65m, has seen his stock decline at Juventus following the arrival of Randal Kolo Muani, who has quickly displaced him in the starting XI.

According to Calciomercato, Juventus are keen to cash in on Vlahovic rather than risk losing him for free in 2026, when his contract expires. The club are also looking to permanently sign Kolo Muani, who has hit the ground running since joining on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.
Juventus’ need to offload Vlahovic is further influenced by financial factors, with the striker’s salary set to rise to €12m net for the 2025/26 season. By selling him this summer, the Italian giants could free up funds while securing a long-term replacement.
Arsenal’s Long-Standing Interest in Vlahovic
Arsenal’s admiration for Vlahovic is well-documented. The club pursued him before his move from Fiorentina to Juventus in 2022, but the striker opted to remain in Serie A. Despite missing out on him then, Arsenal have continued to monitor his situation, with reports in January suggesting he was considered as an alternative to Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins.

Firstly, why are Juventus so eager to offload him? If Vlahovic were truly the world-class striker Arsenal once chased, would they really be prepared to accept nearly half of his previous valuation? The fact that Kolo Muani has instantly displaced him suggests that his form has been inconsistent at best.
Additionally, his playing style may not suit Arteta’s system. Arsenal have moved towards a more fluid, high-intensity attack, with forwards expected to link play rather than just operate as penalty-box poachers. Vlahovic’s technical ability has sometimes been questioned, and his struggles at Juventus raise concerns over whether he would adapt to Arsenal’s style.
