Premier League pre-season tours: What to watch this summer

With just a few weeks remaining in the 2024/25 Premier League season, several clubs have started their preparations for the next campaign.

Manchester City and Chelsea sit outside that group, as they are scheduled to compete in the revamped FIFA Club World Cup in the United States this summer.

The 32-team tournament is expected to trigger a flurry of activity in the betting industry as punters leverage the opportunity to expand their wagering activities.

Many of them may play casino online real money games before the Club World Cup in the hope of boosting their bankroll for a summer of football betting.

Bettors will also have the opportunity to wager on pre-season tour matches involving Premier League teams, and there are already some exciting fixtures scheduled.

Premier League Summer Series takes centre stage

Manchester United, Everton, West Ham United and Bournemouth head to the US during pre-season to take part in the Premier League Summer Series.

Each team will play three matches and will not face the same opposition twice. The competition will follow the same points structure as the Premier League.

New Jersey, Chicago and Atlanta will be the host cities for the games, each of which are designed to boost engagement with Premier League fans in North America.

The Red Devils have a packed pre-season schedule either side of their involvement in the Premier League Summer Series.

They are scheduled to play friendlies in Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong at the end of May, before facing newly-promoted Leeds United in Stockholm on July 19.

The Summer Series is next on the agenda ahead of an eye-catching fixture against Serie A club Fiorentina at Old Trafford on August 9.

Arsenal’s trip to Asia is another highlight of the pre-season schedule. They play AC Milan and Newcastle United in Hong Kong, before facing Tottenham Hotspur in Hong Kong.

This will be the first-ever time the Gunners have faced their local rivals overseas.

Liverpool are also visiting Hong Kong to play Milan before they travel to Japan to face Yokohama F Marinos at the Nissan Stadium.
