Premier League clubs are often the biggest spenders whenever the summer transfer window opens, and it’s no different this year.
With the top clubs in the division set to go head to head for the biggest prize, they have spared no expense strengthening their teams this summer.
A quick glance at the Premier League net spend table tells you which clubs are backing their ambitions most aggressively, although that doesn’t tell the full story.
We’ve already had plenty of high-profile transfers this summer, but we’ve narrowed it down to ten of the best, including a mega-deal we expect to go through before the window closes.
Viktor Gyokeres – Sporting to Arsenal
After years of glossing over the obvious issue, Arsenal finally went all-in to sign an out-and-out striker, splashing around £55 million to sign Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP.
The 27-year-old has established himself as one of the most clinical goalscorers in Europe, coming off the back of consecutive sensational campaigns in Portugal.
Back in the Premier League after flopping at Brighton & Hove Albion, Gyokeres will be keen to help Arsenal get their hands on the elusive title.
Florian Wirtz – Bayer Leverkusen to Liverpool
Liverpool have been the biggest spenders in the 2025 summer transfer window, but their headline addition this summer is Florian Wirtz.
The German playmaker is one of the brightest young talents in Europe and arrives at Anfield with the weight of a £116m price tag hanging on his shoulders.
But judging from his pre-season performances, Liverpool fans can rest assured that the dazzling attacking midfielder will live up to expectations.

At 21, the Frenchman is still raw but has the tools to thrive under Pep Guardiola. And for just around £32m, he could be the signing of the summer.
Matheus Cunha – Wolverhampton Wanderers to Manchester United
United went into the summer transfer window needing attacking reinforcement, and their first move was to activate Matheus Cunha’s £62m clause from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 26-year-old attacker notched 15 goals in 33 Premier League games for Wolves last season and is a natural fit in Rubem Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 set-up.
Cunha can play in multiple roles across the frontline, but will likely slot in as one of the attacking 10s behind an out-and-out striker.
Joao Pedro – Brighton & Hove Albion to Chelsea
Joao Pedro’s move from Brighton & Hove Albion to Chelsea continues a curious pipeline of Seagulls turning Blues.
But the Brazilian forward has wasted no time showcasing his prolific prowess in Blues colours.
He bagged three goals in two games at the Club World Cup, and many Chelsea fans will be keen to see him carry that form into the Premier League next season.
Tijjani Reijnders – AC Milan to Manchester City
Replacing Kevin De Bruyne is nearly impossible, but Tijjani Reijnders brings a unique skill set that can help fill the void in his own way.
The Dutch international had a breakout season at Milan. He scored 10 goals in Serie A, but what caught the eye was his frequent line-breaking passes.
A dynamic box-to-box midfielder, Reijnders excels in transition. He can carry the ball over long distances, beat pressing structures, and link up play in the final third.
Bryan Mbeumo – Brentford to Manchester United
Bryan Mbeumo was a revelation last season. With 20 goals and seven assists, he was one of the league’s most productive players, spurring Brentford to a 10th-place finish.
He’d be hoping to replicate those numbers in United colours, but his pace, directness, and goal threat are undeniable assets for Amorim.
The Cameroonian will slot into an attacking 10 role alongside Cunha in Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 set-up.
Mohammed Kudus – From West Ham United to Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur have taken a calculated gamble on Mohammed Kudus, especially after an underwhelming 2024/25 campaign at West Ham United.
But he’s a gamble that’s almost certain to come good for Spurs. He’s one of the most dangerous ball carriers in the Premier League and should up his game in Spurs colours.
If he clicks under Thomas Frank, Tottenham’s £55m investment could be the bargain of the summer.
Alexander Isak – Newcastle United to Liverpool
Liverpool are preparing to smash the British transfer record for the second time this summer, with a big-money move for Alexander Isak lined up.
If they complete the move, it’ll take a herculean effort to stop them from winning back-to-back Premier League titles, especially if Mohamed Salah picks up from where he left off last season.
So far, Liverpool and Newcastle are at an impasse on the transfer fee. But there’s still time for both sides to find common ground.
