Liverpool remains atop the EPL table, despite suffering their first loss, 2-1, against Crystal Palace. The Reds are no longer betting favorites to win the 2025-26 EPL title, with Arsenal valued at +125, compared to Liverpool’s +175 odds in the EPL – Winner futures betting market.
After Arsenal and Liverpool, there’s a wide gap between the next closest contender, Manchester City. The Sky Blues are +450 to win their fifth EPL title in six seasons, even sitting five points behind The Reds in seventh-place.
Our first hot take is to invest in the current betting favorite, Arsenal, to win the EPL at +125. While it doesn’t appear to be a hot take on the surface, The Gunners are currently riding more than a two-decade drought, with their last EPL title recorded in 2003-04.
Mikel Arteta’s club made a deep run in the UEFA Champions League tournament. Arsenal has only allowed three goals in six matches, tied for the best mark in the league. Combine their stout defense with 12 goals scored, second-highest in the table, and it feels like this is the year that The Gunners return to the top of the EPL.
Another hot take is for Tottenham Hotspur to finish top 4 at +300 odds. The Hotspur are currently fourth in the EPL table, going 3-2-1, with a +7 goal differential. Their blend of defense and offense, led by top goal scorer Richarlison, creates value in this betting market at 3-1.
Manchester United will wind up being relegated at the end of the season. It’d be the first time this has happened since 1974. The Red Devils are 14th in the table with a -4 goal differential. They’ve managed to score a decent output with seven total goals; however, their porous defense has surrendered 11 goals, fourth-most in the table.
Crystal Palace, despite their hot start, will slide outside the top 10 by the end of the 2025-26 EPL season. The club has only scored eight goals, while boasting a league-best three goals allowed. Oddsmakers agree, posting Crystal Palace in the To Finish Top 4 betting market at +700.
Our last hot take on how the 2025 EPL season will fare focuses on Burnley. While the club is currently one of three teams in jeopardy of being relegated to the Championship, sitting 18th, Burnley has scored the most goals (6) of any club 15th or lower in the table.
Wolverhampton and West Ham United are both worse than Burnley. Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United only nurse a one to two-point lead over Burnley, who can make up ground to climb out of relegation by the end of the season. Nottingham Forest is likely to wind up in the final relegation spot, allowing Burnley to continue playing in the EPL next season, avoiding their third relegation since 2021-22.
