From a hopeful Tottenham perspective, this is exactly the sort of report fans want to hear. Osimhen feels like a statement signing, the kind that tells the rest of the league Spurs are serious about giving De Zerbi the tools to build something dangerous. If a manager wants an “explosive, aggressive No.9” for his system, then there are not many better fits out there.
The numbers alone are enough to get supporters excited. Forty-one goals and 10 assists is not normal output. Add the physicality, movement and edge to his game, and it is easy to imagine him thriving in the Premier League. Spurs have lacked that fear factor up front too often. Osimhen would change that immediately.
There is also a sense that Tottenham need to be bold now. Richarlison’s future is uncertain, and while Solanke has qualities, most fans would admit he is not yet the answer to every attacking problem. Osimhen looks like a player who could lift the whole front line, create space for others and turn dominance into goals.
