Spurs Earn First Premier League Point in Nottingham Forest Stalemate
Spurs finally have something tangible to show for their Premier League season, although their 0-0 draw with Nottingham Forest offered considerably more reassurance than excitement.
After losing their opening matches, Tottenham arrived at the City Ground needing evidence that their season could begin to acquire some shape. They found it through resilience, a much improved Rodrigo Bentancur and enough defensive resolve to withstand several dangerous Nottingham Forest moments.
Roberto De Zerbi will still recognise the scale of the attacking work ahead.
Spurs Leave Forest With Something to Build On
Antonin Kinsky made important interventions, including an excellent save from Morgan Gibbs-White, while Andy Robertson produced a crucial late block.
Spurs remain without a Premier League victory, but ending Nottingham Forest’s four match winning run in this fixture represents progress.
The larger question is whether Tottenham can turn promising attacking situations into goals. Against Forest, the foundations looked stronger.
The finishing still needs considerable work.
