Endrick transfer latest as Arsenal stance emerges ahead of January window
Endrick’s situation at Real Madrid is again gathering pace ahead of the winter market, with Arsenal among the clubs linked, but the picture appears more nuanced than some of the louder headlines suggest. According to Caught Offside, the Brazil international’s camp are exploring the market before January amid concerns over limited playing time, a theme that has been building for some time.
The key point is that Real Madrid remain supportive of the player and, at this stage, there is no appetite inside the Spanish giants to sanction a permanent parting. The club are understood to retain full faith in Endrick’s talent and long-term future, even while acknowledging that his development needs careful management. That balancing act matters, especially after a previous loan spell at Lyon in the second half of last season, which underlined Madrid’s willingness to find practical solutions if required.

Arsenal interest in Endrick appears limited
Arsenal’s name has surfaced prominently in the conversation and there is substance to the idea that the club have tracked the player before. Historical interest is real, and there may have been fresh dialogue in recent months. Even so, the indication is that this is not currently a priority pursuit from the north London side.
That distinction is significant. The market can often be driven by intermediaries testing demand, and this appears to be one of those cases. Arsenal’s recruitment operation has become increasingly disciplined, particularly when opportunities are presented externally rather than driven internally by the club’s own planning. There is little sign, for now, that Endrick sits at the top of their January agenda.
Premier League rivals better placed for loan deal
Where the situation becomes more interesting is in the type of deal likely to appeal to Real Madrid. Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Tottenham are all said to hold stronger and more concrete interest at this stage. More importantly, they would be prepared to take Endrick on a straight loan, without pushing for an option to buy.
That structure aligns far more closely with Madrid’s current thinking. By contrast, earlier discussions involving Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool are understood to have centred on loan-to-buy formulas, which makes them less attractive from the Spanish club’s perspective. With that in mind, if the 20-year-old does move in January, those three Premier League clubs may currently be better positioned.
Nothing is advanced yet, and January remains a distance away in transfer terms. Situations like this can develop quickly once game time, squad needs and player preference all come into sharper focus. There is also mention of interest from Serie A, which broadens Endrick’s options if Madrid decide a temporary exit is the best route.
Arsenal transfer plans may lie elsewhere
For Arsenal, the more relevant question may be where they do choose to focus in attack. The report indicates the club could need to address the future of Viktor Gyokeres, who is unsettled after slipping down the pecking order and is drawing attention elsewhere. In parallel, Arsenal are credited with admiration for Eli Junior Kroupi, though Bournemouth’s likely January sale of Alex Scott could complicate that route this winter. Can Uzun is also mentioned as a younger forward admired internally.
All of that points to a club keeping several attacking scenarios open, but not one currently accelerating towards Endrick. The player remains a major talent, Real Madrid remain protective of him, and Arsenal, for now, look more like informed observers than active frontrunners.
Our View
This feels like one to admire from afar unless the conditions suddenly shift in Arsenal’s favour. Endrick is a huge talent and there is obvious appeal in bringing in a young forward with elite-level potential, but the details matter. If Real Madrid want a straight loan and Arsenal want more control over the outcome, then it is easy to see why this is not moving quickly.
There is actually something encouraging in that. Arsenal look far more measured in the market now, and there is value in not jumping at every glamorous opportunity. The squad needs additions who fit the long-term plan, not short-term headlines. If Endrick arrives only as a temporary fix, with no clear route beyond a few months, that can be a difficult piece of business to justify unless he transforms the attack immediately.
The more interesting part of this report is the hint that Arsenal are still scanning the market for young attacking talent while keeping room for a bigger decision if needed. That feels smart. There is enough quality in the squad to avoid panic, but there is also a clear need to sharpen the forward line with more depth, mobility and ruthlessness.
If the club do move in January, it should be for the right profile and the right terms. Endrick is exciting, no question, but Arsenal being selective may be the best sign of all. That patience could yet lead to the more important signing.
