Bolton | Got to keep our chins up!

I didn’t manage to go to Liverpool game at Anfield as it was the brothers wedding so I did next best thing, sneaked out an watch it on TV. Wasn’t really worth it from Bolton point of view. A very lacklustre performance which had little hints of that game against stoke that we don’t like to mention. Hard to see any positives from the game and we even scored a goal which on whole we didn’t really deserve. The first goal all be it was a little fortunate to fall the Henderson the way it did was still a good but all stemmed from the cross by Suarez (it was a peach of a ball in all fairness). The second an third were down to awful defending. Knight was at fault for the first by completely losing Skertl and didn’t exactly do a brilliant job in stopping Adam scoring. Cahill didn’t look 100% focused during the game. We didn’t look solid at the back all game on the other hand we didn’t look like causing Liverpool many problems at the back.

I can’t really single any one player out who played the worse it just seemed like the team on a whole the team looked slow and lethargic. We don’t seem to have a great amount of pace throughout the team. The normally super Kevin Davies had a bad day at the office and only won 2 aerial duels all game which is not like Davies at all. Muamba went off early on which speaks for its self as it wasn’t an injury but a tactical substitution. Klasnic does what Klasnic does in the box he scores goals and didn’t do a lot else the lack of celebration at his goal summed up how disappointing a game it was from a Bolton point of view.

With an international break now upon us Owen Coyle can regroup and focus. The end of the transfer window is upon us with deals for Shaun Wright Phillips not going to happen an N’gog being stretched out. Cahill’s will he won’t he leave dragging on till the end of the window if he has not gone by then has made it a pretty tiring transfer window as a Bolton fan.  We have some players working there way back to fitness and they will breathe fresh life into the team and I hope we can do what we did last time we played badly and beat one of the top 4 teams. So till then good luck England an then bring on Manchester United!
