Liverpool will get Konoplyanka confirm Dnipro

Although January ended disappointingly for Liverpool Football Club with the failure to sign Yehven Konoplyanka, the reds have been told that they will almost certainly get the Ukrainian once the Summer Window opens.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers was left frustrated when news broke of the clubs inability to close the deal, however he has stressed that money was not the reason.

Following on from the much talked about transfer, with the details still sketchy as to why the move failed on Friday, Dnipro official Andriy Rusol has said he fully expects the deal to be confirmed during the Summer.

Dnipro official Rusol has since said  “I am a thousand per cent sure that Liverpool will try again in the summer and then we’ll let him go,” he is quoted as telling Ukrainian media outlets.

“Money was not the problem, the problem was that Liverpool came too late.

“But in the summer everything will be fine. If Liverpool, in the summer, report to us, Yevhen will still go to this club.”

I doubt we will ever know why the deal fell through at the last minute but it does appear as if both clubs have agreed to sanction the move once the season ends and the Summer transfer window opens.

Hopefully the signing ok Konolyanka will be the first of many for Liverpool as they will need to strengthen their squad for whatever European competition they find themselves in.
