Manchester United will rival Chelsea in Cavani race

Edison Cavani is debating a Summer move to the Barclays Premier League and both Manchester United and Chelsea will be front-runners for the Uruguayan front man.

The Paris St Germain’s striker is considering his future and it is believed that the Premier League teams will go head to head for the £54 million pound man.

Cavani’s representatives are believed to be in London and plan to hold talks with potential suitors, Cavani has become unsettled due to not being played in his preferred central striking role.

Whilst Cavani enjoys life in Paris, he is extremely disenchanted with having to play on the wing so that Zlatan Ibrahimovic can operate as the lone front man.

Manchester United made enquiries for the front man during January but neither the club nor the player were keen to move then. Both Manchester United and Chelsea will look to tie up any deal prior to the World Cup taking place as they know an impressive tournament from Cavani would only up the asking price.

Whilst David Moyes has said that he plans to add more word class players to his United squad, failure to qualify for next season UEFA Champions League would leave any move for Cavani in limbo.

Chelsea on the other hand, should have no such worries and with both Demba Ba and Samuel Eto’o heading out of the club they will have the space and the funds to bring in Cavani.
