In the build up to another Super Sunday and the titanic clash of Manchester United and Liverpool we’ve asked artist Nazar Stefanovic (@nazarstefanovic) to bring you the graphic below. This week it’s two of the most deadliest marksmen in the game; Robin Van Persie and this season’s top scorer Luis Suarez.
Even though Van Persie has been injured a lot this season he’s scored eleven league goals at an average of 125 mins per goal which is still an excellent return. On the other hand Luis Suarez was banned for five games and went on a five game blip but is still scoring a goal every 86 minutes which is incredible. Luis Suarez has been in fantastic form and the numbers below show why he could be nailed on to become the player of the year for 2014.
Liverpool have lost six games on the bounce at Old Trafford since winning 4-1 in 2009 (four in the league, two in the domestic cups). Can they buck the trend and take points away from Old Trafford? Manchester United have not enjoyed their home form at all this season. Can they push for a huge performance and result before the humungous Champions League game this week? With Chelsea slipping up there’s added importance for Liverpool and with Everton winning Manchester United need the win to stay in the hunt for Europa League spots. That’s the beauty of the Premier League 2013/14 – it’s all to play for!
