Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has said that he would love to see Spanish international Iker Casillas playing for Arsenal with him next season.
In an interview with Sport360, Cazorla has said that the unsettled Casillas is intrigued by English football and that Cazorla would love to see him line up alongside him in the Arsenal team next season.
He told Sport360: “I’ve told Iker I would like him to join Arsenal. But so far he has just been curious about my experience in England.
“His situation is very complicated, but he has to make a decision.
“Lots of clubs want him, including Arsenal.
“But I think it would be very difficult to leave Real because he knows what he has at Madrid, and what he could find at another club.”
Casillas finds himself in the interesting position of being second choice goalkeeper at Real Madrid and yet first choice and captain for Spain.
With the World Cup in Brazil just around the corner, Casillas will hope to do enough in training to convince current Real manager Carol Ancelotti to reinstate him as the clubs Number 1 goalkeeper.
If Real did decide to let Casillas leave in the Summer there would be many teams interested. He could really have the pick of many of the top teams in European football.
