Yaya Toure Fit For Final Two Games

Manchester City have been handed a huge boost in their run-in for the Premier League title as Ivory Coast international Yaya Toure has been cleared fit to play in their final two games.

Toure was substituted out of the game against Everton midway through the second half, and fears were raised as to whether the midfielder would be available or not. Sergio Aguero was also substituted off after equalising for City last Saturday in a 3-2 victory at Goodison Park, but City’s spine looks to be in place for the concluding games of the season.

Toure’s official website released the following quotations:

“It was very important I came off (against Everton). It has been difficult for me in a short space of time to recover from the injury I picked up at Liverpool and prepare physically.

“If you are not fully prepared it is very tough, because you have to be at 100 per cent for these games and coming back is always difficult, especially at the end of the season, but I feel good.”

City fans will be delighted to hear their box-to-box midfielder, who was pushing Luis Suarez to be named Player of the Year, will take his place in the engine room of the blue-half of Manchester as they search for their second Premier League title.
