Anyone who followed my betting advice on West Ham last week would have collected a healthy 6 points profit! We aim to keep the winning run going with the Hammers at home to Man City. West Ham’s form reads Won 4, Drawn 1, Lost 3, Scored 15 and Conceded 11. They have played three top six sides already at home this season, beating Liverpool but losing against Spurs and Southampton.
West Ham have only managed one clean sheet all season and that was against relegation favourites QPR. These two teams played each other four times last season with an aggregate score line of 14-1 to City. Head to head, West Ham haven’t beaten City home or away in ten games. With the blues winning eight and drawing two, you need to go back five and half years for the last time West Ham beat Man City.
Although the Hammers have hit form, unfortunately for them so have Man City. They are ranked as having the second best defence in the league and the third best attack. Away from home their form reads Played 4, Won 3, Drawn 1, Lost 0, Scored 10 and Conceded 4.
Last week against Spurs, Aguero scored four goals and missed a penalty! He now holds the record for most goals per minutes played in the history of the Premier League. His scoring run also continued against CSKA Moscow in the midweek Champions League match. City’s main man looks like he will have too much firepower for this West Ham team, and I wouldn’t put anyone off creating a bet involving him. All Man City’s wins this year have been by more than one goal. As they require a little bit of catch up with Chelsea on the goal difference, I can see a hefty win for City. The bet therefore is Man City to WIN by more than 2 Goals @ 9/2 (5.5)
