Swansea sits eighth in the Premier League with a form line of Played 8, Won 3, Drawn 2, Lost 3, Scored 14 and Conceded 10. They started the season with three straight wins, but since then they have won 0, drawn 2 and lost 3. The stats do not tell the full story with Swansea; their two draws this season were away against Sunderland, (the Premier League draw specialists) and away against Newcastle, a match in which Swansea manager Gary Monk said “We should have won”.
Their 3 defeats came courtesy of two top four teams in Chelsea and Southampton. Then last weekend against Stoke, a game where Swansea dominated possession, they went a goal in front, then only for a gust of wind to blow over Victor Moses for Stoke to equalize. That injustice changed the match and I can understand why Monk was so upset in the aftermath press conference. Swansea has a decent home record of Won 2, Drawn 1, Lost 1 (Southampton) Scored 6 and Conceded 3. This puts them as having the third best home defence in the League. Swansea has only failed to score once in the league all this season, the home defeat against Southampton. This can be slightly ignored as Wilfred Bony was sent off for Swansea in the 39th minute.
In contrast Leicester’s away record stands at Won 1 (Stoke) Lost 3, Scored 1 and Conceded 5. That solitary away goal against Stoke puts Leicester ranked first as having the worst away attack in the Premier League. As the stats suggest, Swansea have one of the best defences at home. They usually score at least a goal a game and have been a little unlucky in their last couple of games. Whereas Leicester have scored just the one goal on the road, conceded five and have the worst away attack in the league. The advice here is a Swansea to WIN @ 21/20 (2.05).
