Which Liverpool Players Will Be On The Plane To The World Cup 2018

The Premier League season is over but Liverpool fans still have the pleasure of watching their team compete for the world’s most prestigious club competition. They face Real Madrid on the 28th of March and are in with a fantastic chance of winning it. There will be plenty of Liverpool players wanting to put on the performance of their lives to win the cup along with securing their place in their national team for the World Cup held in Russia this summer. In this article, I will talk about which players have booked their tickets on the plane and could be stand out players of the competition.

#1: Mohamed Salah

If Liverpool is going to win the Champions League they will be looking for Salah to get the goals for them. He has cemented his place as one of the worlds best this year and even broke the EPL record for most goals in a 34 match season finishing on 32. There is a wide list of betting offers you can make on him at the world cup including my favorite leading goal scorer at 40/1.

#2: Sadio Mane

Mane has been fantastic for Liverpool since signing from Southampton. He managed 10 goals along with seven assists this campaign in the EPL. His pace will scare defenders at the world cup but it is going to be difficult for Senegal to make it very far. If they do it will probably be because of Mane and he will be one of watch out for at the World Cup.

#3: Roberto Firmino

Brazil always to well at the World Cup and Firmino will be one of the main players behind Neymar that will need to perform at their best o take the trophy home. His energy and speed are vital to the way that both Liverpool and Brazil play and he could play a key role in where to world cup ends up this time around.

#4: Adam Lallana

Lallana is not a certainty to get on the plane for England due to his recent injury. If he can prove to Southgate that he is fighting fit, the player will certainly play a big part of the World Cup. It is ashamed for Lallana as he was having a great season before his injury but there’s still a chance he can turn things around.

#5: Jordan Henderson

If England is going to do well at the world cup they will be Jordan Henderson to dominate the midfield. He has the ability to do this and is one of the best leaders in the England team. He has bags of experience at national competitions and will be wanting to prove he can mix it with the best.
