The Canaries will look at this match as an opportunity. Unai Emery may be gone, but that doesn’t mean Arsenal are fixed. Freddie Ljungberg has limited time to set his team up, which gives Norwich a shot to ambush the Gunners and get some crucial points.
Ljungberg will take charge of his first match as interim Arsenal manager. Emery was sacked on Friday after 19 months in charge. Ljungberg’s reign begins with a winnable match against 18th place Norwich City.
Norwich will be without Timm Klose, Josip Drmic, Grant Hanley, Alexander Tettey, but Todd Cantwell is expected to be back, according to PremierInjuries.com.
Dani Ceballos will miss out with a hamstring injury, while Hector Bellerin, David Luiz, Rob Holding and Shkodran Mustafi are all doubts, according to PremierInjuries.com.
Norwich City: Teemu Pukki
Pukki hasn’t scored for Norwich since September, but the Arsenal defence is certainly one he can take advantage of. The Canaries need him to get back on track to stay in the Premier League. A possibly disorganized Arsenal is a real chance for him to break his duck and reignite his season.
Arsenal: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Aubameyang has been one of the few bright spots about this Arsenal team. He’s had a bit of a dry spell lately, but he has shown his quality and everyone knows just how good he is. His eight goals in 13 Premier League appearances is still very impressive and he will need to get back on the scoresheet regularly.
It’s really tough to predict how Arsenal will come out under Ljungberg. Arsenal still have structural issues, so they could absolutely lose this match. But the new manager bounce is on their side.
Prediction: 3-2 Arsenal
