After months of play and delay, the FA Cup will finally come to a close with Arsenal and Chelsea competing in the final. The two teams are looking to end a crazy season on an incredible high.
Chelsea’s Premier League season has to be considered a success. Despite an up and down season, they managed to make the top four. An FA Cup on top of a Champions League finish would make it a spectacular first season for Frank Lampard.
Arsenal’s season has been a failure. They finished eighth in the PremierLeague and crashed out of the Europa League. It’s a failure even with an FA Cup win, but a trophy would make a rough season a bit easier to take.
Chelsea will be without Billy Gilmour as he recovers from his knee injury and both N’Golo Kante and Willian are doubts for the final, according to PremierInjuries.com.
The Gunners have injury concerns of their own. Gabriel Martinelli, Calum Chambers, Pablo Mari and Shkodran Mustafi are out, while Hector Bellerin and Bernd Leno remain doubts, according to PremierInjuries.com.
Chelsea: Christian Pulisic
Pulisic has been one of the stars of the Premier League since the restart. He has scored or assisted 0.83 goals per 90 minutes since the league came back from the COVID-19 stoppage. His performances indicate he might be Chelsea’s next superstar and that he is more than good enough to dominate this FA Cup final.
Arsenal: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Aubameyang is the reason Arsenal got to the final and he’s their best hope to win it. He’s one of the best goalscorers in the world and he’ll need to be on his game for the Gunners to have a chance.
Chelsea are the better side and should be clear favorites. Anything can happen in a cup final, but the Blues are the safe bet.
Prediction: 2-1 Chelsea
