Which of Liverpool’s stars are playing at this summer’s upcoming Euros and Copa America?

Following on from a tumultuous Premier League campaign that saw legendary manager Jurgen Klopp’s shocking departure from Anfield at the conclusion of the season, Liverpool fans will now be quick to catch a glimpse of some of their top stars in action throughout the course of the European and Copa America tournaments ahead of Arne Slot’s inaugural season as gaffer.

Given that the Reds bolster one of Europe’s most established and talented squads, there are plenty of top names that are currently heading abroad to represent their country at one of the two major international tournaments that are set to take place across both June and July.

These names include several of the former league champions most decorated names who will more than likely play a major role in their nation’s lineups, with certain star talents also aiming to claim a highly touted international title at the conclusion of the tournament in question.

Heading into the UEFA Euro’s and Copa America competitions, these are the top Liverpool players that will be expected to appear throughout the tournament for their respective countries.

Euro’s:

Liverpool are certainly not shy of talent when it comes to their wide variety of star players that have been chosen for their nation’s final squad selection.

Superstar Centre half Virgil Van Dijk will once again suit up for the Flying Dutchmen of the Netherlands and will likely captain his country at another major tournament with the towering defender coming off another productive and highly successful campaign where he anchored a rugged Liverpool backline.

His centre back partner Ibrahima Konate has also been called up to the French National team with Didier Dechamps’ side now looking to claim another major international title following their 2018 World Cup winning campaign and their runners-up display in 2022 with the French coming in at 4/1 outrights to win the tournament this year according to the latest online betting odds.

Ryan Gravenberch and Cody Gakpo will also join Van Dijk on international duty for the Dutch with Gakpo also likely to feature as an ever-present option in Ronald Koeman’s attacking setup.

For the England National team, Gareth Southgate named a number of Liverpool players in his 33-player provisional squad which included Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Jarell Quansah and Curtis Jones, with his final submission including Trent and Gomez being selected into the 26-man team that will headline a Three Lions squad which currently ranks as the outright favourites to win it all this year.

Copa America:

Across the Atlantic, many other of the Reds most prestigious star names are also expected to suit up for Copa America and could be mainstay starters for their national sides in pursuit of silverware.

Established shot stopper Alisson Becker is expected to take up the mantle as Brazil’s starting keeper where he will feature in several intriguing group stage fixtures that include a monumental showdown against Alisson’s Merseyside teammate Luiz Diaz who has been chosen for the Colombia National side.

Following on from his magnificent showings at Argentina’s 2022 World Cup winning campaign, which would ultimately earn him a move to Anfield later that summer, Alexis Mac Allister has unsurprisingly been chosen to represent the World Champions at this year’s Copa America.

Finally, Liverpool’s starting number nine Darwin Nunez will also be present for Uruguay and could likely be paired alongside Anfield icon Luis Suarez which will certainly bring about the nostalgia amongst Reds fans from his legendary tenure on Merseyside.

There is certainly a vast variety of star talents that will be jetting out to the international stage whilst representing Liverpool FC who will all play a significant role in the starting lineup or rotation of their nation’s squad.

Liverpool will certainly been keeping a watchful eye on several other key players that could be set to star in the Euro’s or Copa America which could be a potential summer transfer target which new manager Arne Slot may aim to add to his team.
