It’s been a while since we last updated you on how the best attacking players had been performing so far this season. With the majority of teams now completing fixture round 26 for this season we thought we’d share some exciting attacking stats with you. Today we will be looking at minutes per goals scored, minutes per goal involved, minutes per chances created and a look at clear-cut chances created too.
Frequent Goal Scorers
Whilst Luis Suarez has entered his first dip in form, not scoring for 310 minutes of Premier League football now, he still sits a top of the goal scorers charts. His team-mate Daniel Sturridge has taken over the mantle of scoring goals for Liverpool with 9 in his last 8 games and 7 in 7 Premier League games. Sergio Aguero, Eden Hazard and Yaya Toure make up the top 5 and it’s not surprising to see the league’s top goal scorers Manchester City and Liverpool dominate this statistic.
So do the players in the list above score most frequently? Three of them do. Sergio Aguero moves ahead of Luis Suarez after his 310 minutes without a goal have now pushed him into second place with Sturridge catching him with every goal he scores.
Although Robin Van Persie’s season has been dogged by injuries he still appears in this list scoring a goal every 123 minutes. He will be vital to David Moyes’ side as they push to finish as high as possible even though they are 11 points off of a Champions League spot.
