Moyes admits it’s all down to him

Under-fire Manchester United manager David Moyes has admitted that the teams dramatic demise is all down to him.

Following his teams humiliating 3-0 defeat at home to local rivals Manchester City, David Moyes has admitted that he is the cause of their lack of form.

“I am the one who picks the team,” Moyes said. “I take responsibility and always will do. It is disappointing.

“I thought it would be a tough year but I hoped it would be more competitive.”

“Everybody knows this is a job that is going to take a little bit of time to get the way we would like but that is the job,”

“Other clubs have had to do rebuilding jobs – we hope it won’t take as long as some others but we have a period of time to get to that level.

“There are a lot of really good players in the squad, a lot of internationals, who, on their day, can be a match for most players.”

Aside from reaching the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League, this season has been a huge disappointment. The red devils currently sit seventh in the Barclays Premier League, a massive 15 points behind Manchester City in the table.

The hope of finishing in the top 4 this season are all but over and humiliation at the hands of Bayern Munich could be the final straw for the United board.
