Players of the week | Man of the Match from Match Day 11 Games

Reading 0 – 0 Norwich

A basement clash at the Madejski ended in a stalemate, as each side failed to take advantage of the opportunity to climb the table.

The MOTM award has to go to a defender, and I’m going to give it to a Norwich player for the third successive week as they continue their unbeaten run.

Michael Turner put in a commanding performance at the heart of the visitors’ defence, winning 100% of his tackles and 63% of his aerial duels.

He was also the game’s top performer in terms of clearances, clearing his defensive lines on 15 occasions.

He and Sebastien Bassong have begun to show signs that they could form a solid foundation for Chris Hughton’s team, but the onus is on Grant Holt to start firing in the goals which made the Canaries a force to be reckoned with last season.
