It’s all on me admits Moyes

Manchester United boss David Moyes admits that it’s his fault the team performed so poorly during their 2-0 defeat to Olympiakos in the UEFA Champions League last evening.

Speaking after his team’s defeat, manager David Moyes has taken full responsibility for his teams performance, saying “I take responsibility,”  “It’s my team and I always front up.”

It was a really poor performance. We never really got going and we didn’t deserve anything.

They were poor all over the pitch but especially up front, they did not register a single shot on goal until the 89th minute.

Moyes was at a loss to explain why his team were so lack lustre up front and why they never looked like registering an all important away goal, “, I am just surprised ” he added. “I didn’t see that level of performance coming, I just didn’t see it.

“It’s the worst we’ve played in Europe. We didn’t offer enough on the night to create a goal.

“There is undoubtedly talent at Manchester United but we didn’t show it.”

United now face a huge battle to qualify for the next stage of the competition. A competition that they really need to win if they want to re-appear in it next season.

After last nights performance however, that looks extremely unlikely.
